Real Reason Sarah Palin is Leaving Office

Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ve no doubt been watching the latest media frenzy surrounding Sarah Palin. Another slow news week?

I have to wonder why NOW totally ignores this woman political figure. They’ve been conspicuously absent each and every time Governor Palin has been under attack.  Are they secretly being run by men in drag?  Perhaps they have been living under a rock as well.  Maybe they just don’t give a damn.  Or, perhaps their only motivation is to receive funding by liberal organizations who have an agenda, even if it means feeding one of their very own to the lions.

Even as Sarah Palin announces that she is leaving the office of Governor of the State of Alaska, the media still can’t let a sleeping dog lie.  Perhaps there is another REAL reason that Sarah is leaving office, such as:

  1. Her husband really is the father of her eldest daughter’s baby
  2. She is the original alien from Area 54 and is her cover is about to be blown
  3. The suspect Alaskan hockey arena was funded surreptitiously and Jimmy Hoffa’s body is buried under it
  4. The DNC officially declared July as Attack Sarah Palin Month
  5. Sarah is tired of yellow journalism

Folks, she isn’t the first person to leave public office and she won’t be the last.  While we can all wait for the other shoe to fall, why don’t we wait until it actually does to report it.  I like a good conspiracy theory as much as the next guy, but this one doesn’t have legs yet.

NOW is Conspicuously Absent Regarding Governor Palin’s Family

It is now obvious to me that NOW doesn’t represent me or any woman worth her salt.  It is a pathetic shadow of its once former self.  I wouldn’t belong to an organization that so obviously ignores women being degraded publicly, such as what transpired on the David Letterman Show for the Terminally Ignorant.

Since when is it okay for a man, any man, to publicly degrade a woman?  Why is it okay to make fun of a pregnant teenager- or one that was pregnant while she was still in high school?  Since when is being a comedian an excuse for saying ridiculously offensive, sexually harassing comments?  We’re just a hop-skip and a jump away from adopting shirea law- and why the hell not?  Obviously NOW is ready to take a giant step backward, with no backbone when it comes to standing up for women’s rights anymore.  Might as well let the abusive guys start now, and we’ll just ease into it.  By the time our rights are gone again, we won’t have even noticed that it happened.

We’re supposed to be such a progressive society, politically correct and all that crap, yet we continue to allow second-rate citizens to set the tone for all of us.

And don’t even get me started on the crap about Palin’s husband sexually abusing his kids.  Anyone who believes that should be given swirlies every hour, on the hour.
